Maple Chicken Sausage with Balsamic Glazed Autumn Veggies
This fall dish pairs the flavors of salty and sweet by mixing sweet potato, brussels sprouts, apples, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and First Fresh chicken sausage together.
- Cook First Fresh Maple Chicken Sausage Breakfast links over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool then slice into bite sized pieces.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add sweet potatoes, black pepper, and cinnamon, and cook for five minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and apples, and continue to cook another ten minutes.
- Stir in chicken sausage pieces. Pour balsamic vinegar and maple syrup into skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and allow sauce to thicken a few minutes longer (if desired). Serve and enjoy!
